Située dans le district de Huairou à Pékin, à au moins 73 km de la capitale, la Grande Muraille de Mutianyu est l'un des éléments les plus emblématiques de la Grande Muraille et l'une des 16 nouvelles attractions touristiques de Pékin. Dotée d'une construction unique et de tours de guet densément réparties, Mutianyu possède des sections célèbres telles que la Pointe de la Corne de Bœuf, Jiankou et Ying Fei Dao. Construite sous la dynastie Qi du Nord, elle a ensuite été restaurée sous la dynastie Ming. Aujourd'hui, c'est peut-être la section la plus remarquable en termes de qualité de construction et la mieux préservée.

Constructed mainly in granite, Mutianyu Great Wall is 4-5 meters wide and 7-8 meters wide. As compared to other parts of the wall, it has some very unique characteristics in its built. Some of its most notable features include

As the longest and the best restored great wall section, Mutianyu is one of the best places for tourists to visit.
