Timelines:
-On ordinary days, you are picked up between 8 am and 10 am.
-During Chinese National Holidays,Chinese spring festival holiday or some other important holiday in China, you are picked up between 6.30 am and 7.00 am.
However, in a case where you you prefer your own convenient time, you can also be advised accordingly and be given reasonable timelines.
Location:
Mutianyu is found in the county of HuaiRou. This is 75km in the downtown of Beijing. It forms part of the Great wall. A ride to this section will take you time approximated to be between 1.5 hours and 2 hours. It will take you another 30 minutes to reach the Great wall.
Activities:
On arrival, it takes about half an hour to do your preparation. The preparations may include purchasing your entry ticket, relieving yourself in case you are pressed and then going to the cable car station. You also have an option of the chairlift.
When on a family holiday, spending 8 hours on this section of the Great wall will be very relaxing, convenient and very enjoyable. You do not need to be in a hurry.
Matianyu is among the most prominent sections of the Great wall. You can opt for a chairlift to take you to Tower 6. Taking about 3 hours on the great wall would be ideal. Alternatively, you can go up to tower 14 using a cable car and then come down. Cable car is ideal for those who fear heights. Otherwise, for a very fun experience, you can take a chairlift up and down Tobbogan.
Options for lunch:
There is Subway restaurant where your table is located at an area where you are able to enjoy sunshine. At the car pack, there is also dumpling restaurant for you. There are also local tourist restaurants that are affordable that you can choose on your trip back to Beijing.
The drivers we provide can also advice if you are not sure where to take lunch. It likes about 2 hours to travel back to the hotel after your meal.
