General information: The Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, located 58km northwest of Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG), shares the same location with the Hongqiao International Airport. This railway station is considered one of the most important in China and is also the largest in Asia, covering an area of 1.3 million square meters. It is conveniently located opposite the airport in Minhang District, making it the easiest and most immediate mode of transport for travelers arriving or departing from the airport. To travel between Shanghai Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Railway Station, there are three options available: taxi, bus, or metro. Taking a taxi from Shanghai airport is the quickest and easiest way to reach Hongqiao Airport, taking only 50 minutes and costing approximately $29 (CNY 200) during the day and $35 (CNY 240) at night (23:00 to 05:00).
