Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, HGH is one of the busiest airports in China. It is located around 17 miles away from Hangzhou which is the capital of Zhejiang province.

Terminals

The airport has one international and two domestic terminals. The total terminal area of the airport is two hundred ninety-two cubic meters.

Facilities

The waiting area has 2,900 seats for travelers. 12 electric systems and large screens display flight-related information to the travelers. It has sixteen escalators and nine elevators to move around the airport. The airport has twelve passenger boarding bridges and forty-five remote stands.

The commercial space includes banks, foreign currency exchanges, cafes and business centers. It also has an international inspection office and provides services like border clearance, customs, and quarantine check. The fuel depot of the airport can store up to 20,000 cubic meters of fuel. It has 7,216 cubic meter cargo facilities and ten passageways.

Runways

The airport can accommodate large aircrafts with 3600 meters long and 45-meter wide runway. As a part of the expansion, a new 3400-meter long and 60-meter wide runway was constructed.

Ground Transportation & Parking Facility
The airport has bus terminals, a taxi stand, and car rental services. Parking lots P1 & P2 in front of the terminal offer a parking space of 1,300 vehicles. The underground parking with the parking lots P3 & P4 offers more space to park vehicles.
Future Plans
Airport’s expansion policy includes courier centers, sorting centers, and additional apron slots. There are plans to extend the length of the runways and add more facilities at the terminals.
Plans to build more runways to accommodate all types of aircraft is underway. The total terminal area will be increased by 6.13 million square feet and the cargo warehouse area by 4.09 million square feet.
