There are two cruise terminals in Shanghai : Shanghai Baoshan International Cruise Terminal and Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal on Dongdaming Road Hongkou District. As the names of these two cruise terminal are similar, please check before boarding.
If you get aboard in the wrong cruise terminal, don’t be afraid. The two cruise terminal is 20km away from each other. It takes you 40min (about CNY65) to take a taxi from one to the other. Meanwhile, make sure that your guide knows your situation. If you are able to check in before the gate closes, you can get aboard.

Baoshan International Cruise Terminal Development CO., LTD. is established with the joint effort given by government of Baoshan District Shanghai and Shanghai Changjiang Shipping CO., LTD. The company is responsible for the construction, operation, management and supporting services of Baoshan International Cruise Terminal, involving tourist service, shipping service, roll-on and roll-off transportation, anchorage for international cruise liners, shipping agent, raw materials supply of cruise and other ships, ship inspections, ship delivery service.
The terminal area has a planned coastline of 1,500M. With a coastline of 774M, Phase I includes two large cruise berths for 100,000-ton cruise liners and 200,000-ton cruise liners respectively. The cruise port started its construction on 20th Dec. 2008. On April 27th, 2010, Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Port met the first international cruise Diamond Princess with 116,000 tons and started its operation in October, 2011. Baoshan International Cruise Terminal received cruises for 62 times in 2012, 127 times in 2013, 217 times in 2014, 283 times in 2015 and 500 times in 2016. At present, it has become the busiest home port in Asia-Paccific Area, and surpassed New York as the 8th largest cruise home-port. Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal is a significant urban infrastructure for Shanghai, which realizes a functional complementation with Shanghai Port International Passenger Center, jointly forming the largest and the most functional international home-port, making it the center of cruise industry in China.
Baoshan International Cruise Terminal has its unique advantage in the depth of water, special natural, human and cultural resource, as well as perfect infrastructures. The water depth of frontier channel maintains 9 to 13 meters, 1-2 kilometers away from the main channel of Yangtze river. Meanwhile, it has unique geographic advantage, and the traffic is convenient with a perfect comprehensive transportation network. Passengers are able to reach Yangtze river delta zone and other places in China with highway network, railway network, and aviation. In the future, a visiting tourist circle will be formed around Wusongkou. Also a golden coast line will be formed with the cooperation with harbor city. How to get to Baoshan cruise port?
Public transportation can be boarded at Hainan Station on Metro Line 3, Baoyang Road Station, and then transferred to taxis or nearby buses. The whole journey is about 1.5 hours by taxi and 2 hours by bus.
How to get from Hongqiao Railway Station to Baoshan cruise port: about 50 minutes by taxi
Public transportation can be boarded by Hongqiao Railway Station of Metro Line 2, and transferred to Metro Line 3 at Zhongshan Park Station. Baoyang Road Station can be boarded and then transferred to a taxi or a nearby bus. The whole journey is about 1.5 hours by taxi and 2 hours by bus.
How to get from Hongqiao airport to Baoshan cruise port:: about 50 minute by taxi.
How to get from Hongqiao Terminal 1 to Baoshan cruise port: You can take Metro Line 10 and transfer to Metro Line 3 at Hongqiao Road Station. then get off at Baoyang Road Station and then transfer to a taxi or a nearby bus. The whole journey is about 1.5 hours by taxi and 2 hours by bus.
How to get from Hongqiao Terminal 2 to Baoshan cruise port: You can take Metro Line 2, transfer to Metro Line 3 at Zhongshan Park Station, get off at Baoyang Road Station, and then transfer to a taxi or a nearby bus. The whole journey is about 1.5 hours by taxi and 2 hours by bus.
How to get from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Baoshan cruise port: take a taxi directly to the port for about 70 minutes. Public transport is too time-consuming and is not recommended.

How to get from Baoshan cruise port to downtown Shanghai:
After disembarking and entering Shanghai Baoshan International Cruise Port, tourists can choose the following ways to leave the port.
1: Take a free barge bus to Baoyang Road Station of Metro Line 3
After disembarkation, custom clearance and baggage collection (passengers with check in baggage), please follow the sign to queue up at the spot of the barge bus station . Barge station are usually located at the exit of Hall 2 or 3. They start transfer when bus is full, and the driving time is about 15 minutes.
For safety reasons, Barge bus do not allow people to stand, luggage is required to bbe placed in the baggage trunk below, and not allowed to be taken on the bus.
Please note there might be a long queue for barge bus in rush hour:
1: Individual customer: Take a taxi
Please follow the sign to go to the taxi stop. queue up and get on the taxi. The taxi ride to Baoyang Road Station of Metro Line 3 is about 15 minutes.
Those who has tight time schedule are advised to take a taxi.
2: Customer in group:
In order to avoid the congestion at the exit of main road and port hall, staff will arrange group buses to stop in the parking lot of the port. The tourists will need to contact bus drivers in advance to communicate the time, place, license plate number and driver’s contact information, and take baggage directly to the bus after disembarking.

In China Duty Free shop (CDF) of Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, you can buy duty-free commodities with lower price. You may receive a 3% off coupon by ordering ticket through Ctrip. What needs to be mentioned is that the CDF is closed when you disembark in Shanghai. Please choose your commodities and purchase during your outward trip.

There are currency exchange offices in the hall of Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal. ATM is not available here.
